We woke up to 32' this morning. There was a frost warning last night so we covered the tomatoes and summer squash; this is how the winter squash looked

I garden in the Central Valley of California, zone 9/10. Although I can harvest all year, my growing season is 240 days long. My average rainfall is 11 inches a year, with most of it in the spring. My frost dates are November 30 and March 30.
