I garden in the Central Valley of California, zone 9/10. Although I can harvest all year, my growing season is 240 days long. My average rainfall is 11 inches a year, with most of it in the spring. My frost dates are November 30 and March 30.
The colors on her wings sure are pretty! I don't get why she's dying. Is she turning into a worm or is she already dead or what? That face looks kinda scary.
ReplyDeleteThe butterfly was dead, and that's why her coloring is fading. This is probably the same butterfly that I snapped pictures of before. She had been hanging around before I went to Idaho, so she must have died while I was gone.
